BDx Indonesia recently performed a groundbreaking ceremony for its greenfield data center, CGK3A, in TB Simatupang, South Jakarta. BDx Indonesia is a significant wholesale data center and cloud-focused company in the Indonesian market.

With a 15 MW capacity, the US$150 million data center was constructed to give companies and hyperscalers in Indonesia access to world-class data center services.

According to BDx Indonesia, the development of CGK3A is a response to the expansion of Indonesia's digital economy, which is projected to reach US$77 billion by the end of 2022 and US$130 billion by 2025. An efficient and competent digital infrastructure is required to support this expansion, and the CGK3A will provide it.

The company aims to offer 70 MW of data center capacity by the end of 2023, including adding the data center to its portfolio of BDx data centers in Indonesia.

The 14,127 square meter data center has Tier III data center facilities, comprehensive security systems, automation technologies and high network uptime in addition to connectivity. With a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.4, the data center is designed to offer operational excellence and a sustainable solution without sacrificing productivity and scalability.

By the end of 2023, CGK3A is expected to be completely operational. It will complement the four other data centers that BDx Indonesia has constructed since its founding in June 2022, including the CGK3 data center.
