Singtel advances 5G adoption for enterprises by partnering with Microsoft Azure to grow IoT and industrial applications. Through this partnership, Singtel becomes the first operator outside of the US to offer Azure public multi-access edge computing (MEC) for data processing and storage to be moved closer to end-users to significantly reduce latency and enhance overall network performance.

One of India's top telecom service providers, Bharti Airtel ("Airtel"), announced that 2 million people have joined its 5G network in Mumbai so far. This incredible growth has taken place just seven months after the service was introduced. Additionally, Mumbai is the first city in India to have 5G connectivity in every one of its talukas and towns. The 5G network is available throughout Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan-Dombivali, Mira Bhayandar and the rest of the city.

Singtel has reorganized its structure to drive growth, synergies and productivity at the country level. With this move, the telco’s consumer and enterprise businesses in Singapore combine to become a singular operating company. In addition, Singtel will form a standalone infrastructure unit called Digital InfraCo to include the Group’s regional data center business, subsea cable and satellite carrier businesses, as well as Paragon, Singtel’s all-in-one platform for 5G MEC and cloud orchestration.
