telkomtelstra, the joint venture between Telekom Indonesia and Telstra, is to offer cloud based contact center services from Australian company ipSCAPE '” partly owned by Telstra '” to businesses in Indonesia.

ipSCAPE was founded in 2005 and claims to have customers in 27 countries. Telstra took a 31.3 percent stake in 2012 and became a reseller of ipSCAPE's services: they underpin the Telstra Virtual Contact Centre service.

ipSCAPE's executive chairman, John Palfreyman, said the partnership with telkomtelstra was a key part of ipSCAPE's channel strategy and would enable ipSCAPE to grow and engage new and emerging markets.

'ipSCAPE's omnichannel approach empowers business to grow faster and engage customers in new and exciting ways, which is becoming increasingly important in Indonesia's burgeoning business environment,' Palfreyman said.

'The power of our offering is that it is highly cost-effective and quick to implement. 'Contact centres used to be the realm of the big end of town but our cloud contact center changes this by significantly reducing the cost and time to implement. This deal with telekomtelstra will give Indonesian businesses of all sizes access to world-leading cloud contact center technology at a fraction of the cost of an on-premise solution. '¦ The Indonesian market presents a significant opportunity for ipSCAPE due to its rapid development.'
