On the first day of HUAWEI CONNECT 2022, Huawei, together with partners and representatives from public and private organizations, held a session exploring how technology is vital to building a sustainable and inclusive world envisioned by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with case studies and analyses focusing on the Asia-Pacific region.

The public cloud services market in Asia Pacific, excluding Japan, will reach US$165.2 billion in 2026, according to IDC. The PCS market is to grow at a higher year-over-year (YoY) rate in 2022 at 31.4% in comparison to 30.0% in 2021, as cloud migration continues to accelerate. However, IDC expects the YoY growth rates to slow down beginning in 2023 with a YoY growth of 28.3%, to 22.4% in 2026.

At Huawei Connect 2022 on Monday, Huawei, together with the ASEAN Foundation, held the Asia Pacific Digital Talent Summit. The summit, themed “Cultivate Talents, Unleash Digital,” focused on exploring the paths of building a future-ready ICT talent pool and unleashing digital potential in the Asia-Pacific region and convened stakeholders from government, academia and industry.

On the second day of HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 Bangkok, Huawei launched a range of innovative infrastructure solutions to drive industry digitalization by finding the right technology for the right scenario. Industry stakeholders gathered and held discussions around the theme "Innovative Infrastructure to Unleash Digital”, exploring the future directions and opportunities for industry digitalization. They analyzed the challenges of different industries striving to go digital, and Huawei introduced solutions supported by its technical strengths to help address these challenges.

Huawei's Executive Director of the Board and Chairman of ICT Infrastructure Managing Board, David Wang, released a series of white papers entitled “Striding Towards the Intelligent World” at Huawei Summit 2022. Huawei's Chief Strategy Architect Dang Wenshuan discussed the contents of the white papers in more detail.
