Viettel Group has officially won the first round of auctions for the radio frequency band 2500-2600 MHz to deploy 5G services in Vietnam. The acquired frequency band, granted by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), will allow Viettel to improve the deployment of 4G services and the implementation of 5G, for the next 15 years.

India has given the green light for the construction of three semiconductor plants valued at 1.26 trillion rupees (USD 15.2 billion) in an effort to boost its electronics industry and reduce its dependence on imported chips. The decision to build these plants aligns with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, which was introduced in 2014 to position India as a global center for design and manufacturing.

The Indian government has approved a funding package of INR 10,300 crore (USD 1.24 billion) for its IndiaAI mission. This program aims to support India's AI innovation ecosystem and improve access to computing infrastructure across the country. The strategy includes initiatives such as IndiaAI Compute Capacity, IndiaAI Innovation Centre (IAIC), and IndiaAI FutureSkills.
