Ooredoo Myanmar’s “Learn Internet to enrich your digital lives” CSR Program has commenced with the “Internet 1O1” (Internet One on One) campaign organised in partnership with Facebook, and GSMA, to train mobile users on the advantages of internet usage, the dangers the internet poses and how to use it safely and responsibly.

The campaign started on June 15, 2019 and Internet training is provided at Ooredoo Stores and Retail Shops in Monywa, Shwebo, Sagaing, Magway and suburban Areas in Mandalay and Yangon. This internet training aims to increase the digital literacy knowledge of Myanmar’s citizens and protect them from fraudulent and unsafe cyber transgressions. Ooredoo Myanmar will continue the Internet training until the end of August 2019.

U Tint Naing Htut, Head of Corporate Communications of Ooredoo Myanmar said,” The intent of our “Internet 1O1” digital literacy campaign is to provide, safe, hands-on digital literacy training to help close the digital divide. We believe in the power of mobile broadband, as an enabler, to bring about social and economic progress. Ooredoo will continue to support Myanmar people with our CSR initiatives to enrich their digital lives.”
