5GDN Industry White Paper was jointly released by Huawei, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom recently. Since the establishment of 5G Deterministic Networking Alliance (5GDNA) last year, this is the first time the 5GDNA has introduced 5G Deterministic Networking (5GDN) comprehensively, including definition, concepts, key technologies, and successful use cases of 5GDN. This release opens a new chapter for 5G development, promotes development of more network applications, and puts 5G at the center of industry digitalization.

Nokia and Japan’s newest mobile network operator Rakuten Mobile are working together to enable the operator’s implementation of a fully automated operations environment for the 5G era. Nokia will operate Rakuten Mobile’s virtualized core network to manage total cost of ownership (TCO). The agreement will allow Rakuten Mobile to focus on developing its portfolio of disruptive services and expanding its service footprint, while developing operational maturity and automation capabilities.

ZTE Corporation announced that it has released the 5G+ICT Industry Trends White Paper in conjunction with Deloitte China. This white paper comprehensively reviews global 5G development in 2019, analyzes how operators and equipment vendors reduce cost, improve efficiency, and innovate in a complex international political and economic landscape. It specifies how 5G empowers the development of vertical industries and promotes digital transformation of intelligent manufacturing.

NEC Corporation (NEC), a leader in the integration of IT and network technologies, and Mavenir, the industry's only end-to-end cloud-native 4G/5G network software provider for communication service providers (CSPs), have announced a collaboration to deliver a 5G open virtualized RAN (vRAN) solution to the Japanese enterprise market. This will open up local/private 5G network opportunities for enterprises, regional authorities and other organizations.
