Lawyers for Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s CFO, had recently revealed that Canadian police illegally exchanged details of Meng’s phone data with US officials in an attempt to throw out an extradition claim against the top executive.

The winners of the NetEvents Innovation Awards 2019 – Cloud/Datacenter, IoT & CyberSecurity were announced at the NetEvents Global IT Summit & Awards Dinner at the Hayes Mansion, San Jose, California, USA. The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) announced that Tiago Rodrigues has taken the helm as CEO, following a unanimous vote at the wireless industry group. Rodrigues, who has been with the WBA since 2004, replaces CEO Shrikant Shenwai, a WBA founder and long-term advocate who will continue working closely with WBA and the wireless industry.
